Career Summary

Nick showed early promise by becoming World Youth Champion in 2004 and then secured a top 20 senior World Championship finish while still technically a junior in 2006.

He won both Great Britain selection competitions in Bath in December 2007 and January 2008 and his last minute call-up to the Beijing Olympics came on his 22nd birthday after the Court of Arbitration for Sport awarded him with the final qualification place for the sport of modern pentathlon.

Following Beijing, Nick remains focused on his training for the event. While his fencing (formerly his weakest event) improved dramatically over the past year, a new format change, which combines the running and shooting portions of the event, has proved to be more of a challenge. Nick is determined to master the new combined event, which would keep him at the top of the competition.
