Career Summary
Before he became involved in bob skeleton, Adam was a successful member of the Great Britain bobsleigh team, where he participated in the men’s three and finished 11th in the World Junior Championships. He went on to coach both the GB Women’s Bobsleigh team and an Irish bob skeleton athlete during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City before taking up skeleton himself.
As a teenager Adam was involved in athletics and competed in a number of multi sport events, mainly the decathlon. Adam was the AAA bronze medallist in the under 20 age group.
Adam then became involved in winter sports after a teacher introduced him to bobsleigh when he was in sixth form, in 1996.
Outside of sport, Adam is the Vice Chair of the British Athletes Commission and is a committed Christian and member of local evangelical church.
Adam lives and trains in Bath and is looking forward to taking on the Canadian skeleton team at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
