Winter 2009

David Falconer

Welcome to the latest edition of SAP Solution View, our quarterly SAP bulletin.

I'm delighted to introduce this edition, it being the first since my appointment as head of the UK SAP Practice. My mission is to focus on my customers’ real business needs. By providing robust solutions and quality delivery, my aim quite simply is to help my customers to generate wealth or take away pain.

There is much anticipation currently on the global deal that will emerge from the Copenhagen climate change summit. Whatever is decided, it is sure to have a significant impact on business life, placing green topics even more firmly on the CIO agenda.

Our theme for this newsletter is therefore Sustainability. Sustainability has grown from its beginnings in corporate social responsibility to a much broader approach to maintaining business success in a volatile world. How do you assess your current sustainability processes? How do you develop a clear road map to sustainability maturity? What does the SAP Sustainability Map have to offer? I hope you find our answers to these and other questions both useful and insightful.

Finally, I’d like to say what a pleasure it was meeting so many of you at the SAP User Group Conference last month. As platinum sponsor, we were delighted with the success of the event and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

As 2009 draws to a close I wish you all the best for the festive season and 2010.

Best wishes
Dave Falconer
